There was a time when I couldn’t bring myself to sing, pray, or even open my Bible. Yes this girl. The one who loves God deeply. Hope felt like something distant, meant for others not for me.
I remember sitting in church during worship, unable to lift my hands just tears falling. And yet God never left me. God’s faithfulness is not dependent on our strength it’s anchored in His character. Even when we feel weak, broken, or distant, He’s still there. His light shines through, especially when everything else feels dark.
God Is Still Working (Even When You Don’t Feel It)
Even as I write this blog, I’m in awe of how God’s light keeps breaking through. Just recently, I heard testimonies from friends doors opening, healing, breakthroughs and it reminded me: God is still working, even when we don’t feel it. Four weeks ago, a sermon at church was titled “Favor in the Storm,” and it hit me deeply. I realized that the storm doesn’t mean God is absent it often means he’s preparing something greater.
When It’s Hard to Pray, Worship, or Go to Church
If you’ve ever been in a season where:
Worship feels dry
Church feels overwhelming
Prayer feels like silence
You’re not alone.
Sometimes the heaviest moments make it hard to even whisper God’s name. But even then God hears your silence. He sees your tears and holds every emotion with compassion.
What Helped Me Stay Grounded
Here are some things that helped me stay grounded during those hard moments :
Be Honest with God
Tell Him exactly how you feel. He’s not intimidated by your pain. Sometimes my prayer was simply:
“God, I’m tired. I don’t know what to say.” And honestly—that was enough.
Stay Close to Others Who Carry Light
Testimonies from friends reminded me that breakthrough is real. Let their stories fuel your faith when your own feels fragile.
Find One Verse and Hold It Tight
You don’t need a whole chapter just one verse. I clung to Isaiah 41:10, and made it personal:
“So do not fear, Tebogo, for I am with you…”
Play Worship Even When You Can’t Sing
The song that became my lifeline was: 🎵 Charity Gayle - Thank You Jesus for the Blood
“'You took my place, laid inside my tomb of sin….”
It reminded me that Jesus entered our “tomb of sin” and rose again, we are no longer bound by death. That tomb is now empty — and so is our guilt and shame.
Look for Small Lights
Maybe it’s an answered prayer, a kind message, or a moment of peace. These are signs that light is near.
God Is Moving Even Now
This year, I’ve already seen God move in ways I never imagined things I thought were long buried are blooming again. That’s the thing about God he is faithful even in the dark. The tunnel may feel long, but his light is always ahead.
Let me encourage you Don’t Give Up Yet. Even if your worship today is a whisper even if your prayers are silent tears…God sees you and He’s working behind the scenes.

A Prayer for You
Lord, for the one reading this who feels like the tunnel is too long, remind them You are the Light. Remind them You have not left them, even when they can’t feel You. Bring peace to their hearts, hope to their spirit, and strength for the journey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your feelings are valid. Your silence is heard. And your story isn’t over. God is still writing, still weaving, still holding you together. Even in this season there is light.

God Can When You Cannot
I received a link today from an angel that God has sent to me to read it and have faith in God. What i have realised while reading it, I was like I was reading about my self, a person who lost hope and a person who felt alone. But now i am starting to see a light from the darkness to the way of God. A prayer which i needed to connect myself with God. I believe now i am not alone in this world and God is still paving my way through the light to success. I say Amen by the name of Jesus Christ.
